The Oblivion Gate: Breaking the Siege of Kvatch
You're stuck with the vague journal entry instructing you to head to the Oblivion Gate and find a way to close it. It's best to start heading in that direction. Before long, you'll encounter some leveled monsters. Handle them, and then proceed to enter the gate.

Once you pass through the gate, a group of enemies will attack you. They were previously fighting some soldiers. Join the battle and try to protect the human soldiers. After the fight, speak with Ilend Vonius. He will inform you that at least one survivor was captured and taken into the large tower, and you need to search for him there. Ask Vonius to assist you, and he will accompany you, offering some help.

The Climb
Head to your left and descend the hill, skirting around the tower's perimeter. Be cautious, as there are more than just enemies to be wary of here. The Spiddal Sticks beside the road will emit gas that reduces your speed if you get too close while gathering ingredients. Additionally, the Harrada Root will attempt to hit you if you approach it. On the bright side, there are fleshy pods around that contain items. Continue down the path and be alert for falling rocks.

Upon reaching the large central tower, enter through the door to the Blood Feast. Just inside, you'll discover Magicka Essence pots. Activating these pots allows you to regain Magicka more quickly. However, they require some time to recharge after each use.

As soon as you enter, you'll encounter numerous high-level enemies. If you've spent too much time leveling up, you might notice that your allies are swiftly defeated, and the foes you're up against are very challenging. Feel free to retreat outside to recover, as the enemies won't pursue you. Additionally, using the trick of coating your blade with a Damage Health potion is highly effective here.

There are two doors that lead to the upper level, both reaching the same destination. Upstairs, you'll encounter a few enemies and a blood fountain that, when activated, replenishes your health. If the enemies are sizable, you can trap them in the hallways. Proceed to the second floor of the Bloodfeast, which leads to a ramp and the Corridors of Dark Salvation.

Prepare yourself for more enemies in the corridors. After defeating them, you'll encounter locked doors on either side of the room, with only one possible exit. Head outside to the Plane of Oblivion and cross the bridge to reach the other tower.
The Sigil Keeper
Inside, you'll encounter the Dremora Sigil Keeper. Engage him in combat, ideally on the ramp, as there's a good chance he'll fall to his death. Once defeated, search his body to obtain the Sigil Keep Key. At the top of the ramp, you'll find a person trapped in a cage. He'll inform you that you need to go to the Sigil Keep and remove the Sigil Stone to close the Oblivion Gate.

Return to the main tower and use your new Sigil Keep Key to unlock the doors. Ascend the ramp on the opposite side and prepare for a battle at the top. There are spikes that shoot out from the walls, which you can use to damage the enemy if you can keep him stationary where they emerge.
Return to the Blood Feast and proceed up the ramp to face another demon. After dealing with him, head to the top of the ramp and take the Runed Portal back to the Blood Feast. On the other side, more enemies will be waiting for you. Once they are defeated, gather some items from the fallen bodies and use the key to enter the Sigilum Sanguis.
Sigilum Sanguis
A battle is approaching, but you'll have access to another Blood Fountain and some Magicka Essences to fully restore your health and magicka. Utilize these resources during the fight and aim to do most of your combat on the upper level. There's always the possibility of knocking your enemies off the cliff to their demise. Once the battle concludes, explore the area for The Punished containers to find some leveled loot.

Head to the highest point and search for the glowing orb. Move towards it and select the option to activate the Sigil Stone. Once the Oblivion Gate is closed, you are transported back outside to the normal world.
Breaking the Siege of Kvatch
Inform Savlian Matius about your actions. He will inquire whether you are able to assist with the counterattack. Let him know you're prepared to proceed unless you're feeling weakened. A fierce battle lies ahead beyond the town gates, so ensure you are prepared.

When you arrive in Kvatch, your task is to clear the southern plaza. Alternatively, you can head straight into the church and talk to Tierra to discover where Martin is. Inquire about Martin's whereabouts, and she'll direct you to the corner. Martin will remain in place until the courtyard is free of enemies.

After everything is defeated, speak with Savlian Matius and accompany him back to the church. He will give some commands. Speak with him once more, and he will request your assistance in The Battle for Castle Kvatch.
